How much per square meter to paint my villa?

Our quotes are based on a number of factors including square metres, accessibility, the condition of the existing walls and the type of coating recommended for your property, so we don't have a fixed per square meter figure but it is certainly more cost effective than a standard paint job. In 2007 our prices ranged from 1900 euros to 17000 euros, Our average price is around 5600 euros - not much more than conventional painting but much better value for money. How long does it take?

The average time is 7 working days but obviously a town house can be completed in a couple of days sometimes and a large Finca or mansion house could take a few weeks.

Should I have textured or smooth coating?

Textured coatings look great on a previously smooth surface and can not be applied onto a pebbledash or Tyrolean finish but you will be shown examples of the different finishes available by the estimator.

How much maintenance is required after you have left?

The coatings are designed to self clean containing mica that creates a lotus leaf effect. The easiest way to describe this is that like a Gortex weather proof coat the water is repelled very quickly and will only require a powerwash with a domestic Karcher or similar machine every couple of years. Our approved contractors can provide this service for a small cost of labour only.

What cover do you get with your guarantee?

We will guarantee the coatings against fading, peeling, cracking and blistering for 15 years and unlike many companies who have a get out clause not to guarantee due to failure of substrates with high salt and mineral content found in the occasional property, we do cover this problem. The guarantee can also be passed on to new owners of the property.

What does your Protectguard guarantee cover?

Our Protectguard coatings are supplied with a factory guarantee of 10 years with a life expectancy of at least 25 years if applied correctly by approved applicators. We will return to your property and repair any damaged areas within the guarantee period without any fuss.

Does the villa coating insulate the property?

The textured coating contains a high percentage of perlite used in the insulating industry and our smooth coatings are applied by airless spray machines to approx. 20 times thicker than normal paint. A hotbox (our estimator will explain) test was carried out in 1999 and the result proved the coating had good insulating properties as compared to conventional paint.

What geographical areas do you cover?

We cover the coast of Spain from, at the moment Valencia to Cadiz and inland 100 Km we will cover Portugal and the French riviera in the later part of 2008.

How many colours are available?

We have a standard list of 8 colours but depending on the coating required we have hundreds of colours and our own tinting facility in Alicante through permashield so the choice is yours.

Do you use UK paints?

We only use coatings specifically designed and proven to withstand the prolonged exposure to extreme heat, UK paints can be hardwaring against rain etc but many are not tested for prolonged exposure to the sun. All our coatings are designed for the extremes of the Spanish climate.
